You, too, can feel like you’re the only girl in the world, with a luscious limited edition lipstick– if you hurry. Earlier this week the summer installment of pop star Rihanna’s collaboration with makeup iconoclast MAC, RiRi Hearts MAC, debuted and it’s already selling out.
Act fast if you’re a lip color lush, RiRi’s lusty trio of limited edition retro-matte lipsticks are the only items that remain available from this season’s collection. Racy favorite RiRi Woo was reintroduced (a cool, blue-red according to MAC), as well as Heaux (a muted, berry shade), and RiRi Boy (a vivid, lavender-violet), which are still in stock online as of composition of this post. Each slick stick is embossed with Rihanna’s splashy signature, and sells for $15 a piece.
However, her hot Hibiscus Kiss Summer Powder Bronze and Blush Duo, which originally retailed for $26 from MAC online, has sold out. The island lady’s Barbados Girl shade of MAC Lustre Drops, for $20, is also gone as well. The honey-hued Hibiscus Kiss duo combines two sweet shades of colour for cheek and face, “Cool coral complements a neutral matte bronze in one gorgeous package.” Lustre Drops is a water-based rose gold bronzer with a sexy shimmer that, “applies like liquid sun.”
Refinery 29 warns RiRi devotees to act fast and beware the seriously inflated price tag that savvy resellers are going to impose, noting that in the wake of her last MAC hookup eBay-ers were shilling lipsticks for over three times their original cost. “But seriously, folks, if you like what you see, get clickin’ — because if history is any indication, these little beauties are destined for major eBay price gouging.”
