In a perfect world, we could go to the gym and not have to worry about looking good. Isn’t that the point? We are there to GET in the shape we want to be in, not set a fashion trend.

Regardless, it has become increasingly clear that having a bit of style at the gym is a (sometimes) necessary evil, and if you’re planning to go anywhere afterwards, it’s best to look a bit presentable.

The good news is, you don’t have to break the bank to be on trend. Everyday, more and more retail stores are adding really cute work out clothes to their inventory– many even provide huge sections to keep up with the increasing need for stylish gear.

Target is a one stop shop for pretty much everything these days, and they have some uber cute pieces to add to your workout collection. We love this bright pink jacket. It will easily cover up any sweat marks you acquire, and will keep you looking stylish when you’re ready to call it a day.

Having a good selection of work out pants is also necessary, and we adore these black and green ankle pants from Forever 21. They add just enough color without being too flashy. Or, if you do want to go for it, these turquoise athletic pants are pretty perfect as well.

Don’t forget to hit up the activewear section of Marshall’s, which is sure to have some name brand pieces including the accessories you may need if you venture off the treadmill for your workouts. Yoga mats are easy to find and usually reasonably priced!

We also love us some Nordstrom Rack, where running sneakers, etc. are always easy to find. The brands we like are there, which keeps our feet quite content.

In the end, if you look good, you’ll feel good, and feeling good is the main reason to work out anyway! So get out there, and get something that makes you feel pretty while you get your sweat on! Happy shopping! Happy sweating!
