Met Ball Repeat Looks

Sadly Anna Wintour did not opt for the faux-hawk like we wished. The 63-year-old editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine chose a floral Chanel gown from the Spring/Summer 2013 Haute Couture Collection. What florals have to do with punk, only Anna and Kim Kardashian (who likewise hit the red carpet in full-on florals) know. We have a feeling the devil wears florals never expected to be donning a similar look (or at least theme) to Kim K., whom she had previously banned from attending the prestigious Met Ball.

Regardless. There were more ladies who debuted similar looks, and whether they encapsulated the theme– Punk: Chaos to Couture— we are wondering, who wore it better?

Leave it to the Brits to get punk right. Model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne and new mom Sienna Miller both went all Burberry. Cara in a black studded, plunge neck, column gown, and Sienna in a white crêpe open-back dress, studded cropped biker jacket, clutch bag and shoes.

Alexa Chung and Diane Kruger both chose black, high-necked sheer dresses. Alexa in an Erdem dress and Diane in a Chanel Haute Couture dress and Jacob & Co. jewelry.

It’s a battle of the long-legged ladies. The supermodels both worked their leggy good genes in Anthony Vaccarello. Anja Rubik in a red leather mini with Chopard jewels, and Gisele in hazardous looking Vaccarello dress. How will she bend over?

Olivia Wilde and Rita Ora couldn’t be more opposite, but both embraced white with a hint of stomach. Olivia wore a Calvin Klein Collection custom ivory matte satin bandeau dress, and Rita looked lovely in custom Thakoon dress with a Thakoon necklace, Cartier jewelry, and Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.
